High tech scam, Slicker than snot

Well, if you didn't know, there has been an ATM machine scam going around for quite a while now. The thieves insert a plastic sleeve in the card slot, so the machine can't read or return your card. Then they hang about, and tell you to keep entering your pin and it will work. Sooner or later, you leave and assume the machine stole your card. Next thing you know, you call the bank and your acocunt is cleaned out.

The new high tech version uses a fake card slot attached to the machine, and a camara to read your pin. You'll never know what happened, and the theif never has to talk to you, so you don't even have a description to give the police. :(

What is wrong with me???

How did I manage to forget to plug Firefox?? In case you just fell off a turnip truck, Firefox is THE coolest and most secure browser the world has ever seen.

Microsoft made the mistake of being too greedy. They decided that they will no longer give you security updates unless you upgrade to Windows XP.

Unfortunately for M$ (Microsoft), Firefox was standing in the wings mere days from final release. MILLIONS of people have switched to FireFox now. It's rooted in Mozilla and has some of the coolest extensions around. It will literally blow your socks off! Over 250 extensions, and all of them free. :D

If that isn't enough reasons for you, try this on for size.. Guess which browser Microsoft's security program manager uses? That's right, Firefox.

Die Spambot DIE!!!

Sick of trying to figure out ways to out think spambots? Want to get even? Want to watch spambots squirm around on the floor and twitch in agony?

Paste this on every page on the internet you have access to:

The skull and cross bones link sucks spambots into a page of random email addresses. then the links on those pages send the spambots into a spiraling bottomless pit of random email addresses. Mua-ha-ha-ha!! :D

I don't think the '30397429470' links or tracks to me or anything, I went back to the root and this is the link it offered. If you don't like my link, click the external one below, and get your own fresh link. ;)

Just paste it everywhere you can. Shove so many fake email addresses down the spambots throats that they gag and beg for mercy. :)

Bill Gates is having a good day.

Sony has been ordered to stop selling the PlayStation and PlayStation II in the United States. Why? Apparently, their vibrating controllers use stolen technology which is patented and owned by Immersion. Immersion is that company that developed that cool vibrating gameing mouse and the gameing keypad with the built in gamepad for the pc. Sony has also been ordered to pay $90 million in damages to Immersion. Of course Sony is going to appeal the decision, but it sounds like they are pretty much screwed. I expect they will be forced to pull all PlayStations off the shelves, and re-release them with non-vibrating controllers. I wouldn't be surprised if they are forced to raise the shelf price of the PlayStation once this is over and done with.

If you are one of those poor souls who bought a PlayStation (as opposed to the superior Xbox) you might want to stock up on vibrating controllers. It is a safe bet that unless Sony leases the technology from Immersion, you will not be able to buy them anymore once this is over.

In the mean time, I'm sure the Xbox (which has a superior graphics card anyway) will see a dramatic (if temporary) rise in sales. Which, we can be sure, will have Bill Gates dancing all the way to the bank. :)
